  • A Horrible Price Paid-For All Of Us!

I just can't wrap my head around what Jesus did on the first Good Friday.  I can't even begin to imagine nail spikes being driven through my wrist bones and feet. I can't imagine being beaten so severely. I can't grasp the slow suffocation he endured on that cross. The weight of the body hanging by extended arms, made breathing agonizing – not just inhalation, but exhalation as well.

We take this for granted too often.  We say "poor me" when we have problems, and we think things are bad.

What can be worse than dying for people that are ungrateful, indian givers, inconsistent, blasphemers, murderers and even worse?  So many people blaspheme His name, curse Him and revile what He did. Think on what He fulfilled that day for YOU.

    Philippians 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Peter the Apostle makes it even more clear and detailed:

    1 Peter 2:24
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

He not only died for our sins, but for our well being and health. He died for not only us, but the rapists, pedophiles, mockers and those whom if they had the chance, would willingly nail Him AGAIN to the cross!  Even the thief who blasphemed Him at first saw His holiness and repented. He obtained salvation that day.

You see, He wanted this available to all, with no favoritism attached. He did so EVERYONE would have a chance for eternal life. And not only eternal life, but the chance to live a life filled with His Holy Spirit and to know fully the love that our Heavenly Father has for us.

Who is capable of measuring the love of the Father who sent His only son to die. I believe that  the physical pain was nothing compared to the pain of bearing upon His shoulders the sins of ALL mankind, past, present and future.  This separated Jesus for the first time from His Father and we see this when He cried.

    Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

Only after He had paid the price, and bleached away our sins could He achieve His goal. Scripture shows:

    John 19:30
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.   Only after paying the full penalty for US could He do this!

If you need to refocus and re-energize your Christian walk, think on this. If you don' t know Jesus Christ and the forgiveness offered for your sins, ask Him into your hearts today. All you have to do is to ask God to forgive all your sins, and to give your life fully over to Jesus Christ!

    Hallelujah!

  • You Are Never Alone!

    • Wrap the Lord in your arms. He's there for you. He will never let you down and never forsake you.

He will always comfort you. He will never talk down to you or make you feel unloved or unworthy.

2Cor 1:4 says "who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God"

The love that Our Heavenly Father gives us, the comfort that he bestows upon us, enables us to minister to those who have been hurt as we have been hurt.

I used to say that no one understands what I went through. No one KNOWS what I have experienced.

He knows, He loves, He ministers unending love to us.

      Nahum 1:7
"The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble"

You can always turn to Him in any difficulty that you may have. He is always there for you.

      Hebrews 13:5
says "For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you."

There is nothing we can do to stop His love for us. He loves with an everlasting love.

Romans 8:31-32 says "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

The next time you feel alone or abandoned, realize this. Jesus will never abandon you-NEVER.

He paid the ultimate price so that we may have this relationship with the Father.

Reach out ans allow His love to minister to you, no matter how alone you feel.

      Consider this and be blessed!

  • You Are Outrageously Loved! Be Set Free Today!

    • Pastor Chris preached "You are outrageously loved."

Often our self esteem gets in the way of our growth. We often hold on to the past, to hurt, pain, anger and resentment. We "deserve" to feel that way because of what happened. You think "I'm a screw-up! I'm a failure! Things will NEVER get better!  You don't realize it, but one of the reasons you are stuck is that you are applying a Kingdom principle to your self.

You are speaking defeat to yourself
. We have the power of life and death in our words. Being made in God's likeness means we have his attributes. As He spoke the Universe into being, We, with our tongue, have an instrument of great power!  You can bring life or death by what you say. When you beat yourself up, you're prophesying defeat. You are commanding defeat to occur.

BECAUSE WE JUDGE OURSELVES IT IS GIVEN BACK TO US IN THE SAME MEASURE
      . That's why things don't change!

In the Our Father Jesus prayed in Matt 6:12 "And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors." We are asking God to forgive us to the same degree we forgive. That includes OURSELVES!

If we don't forgive ourselves, we devalue the Blood of Jesus. We are saying in effect "His Blood is NOT SUFFICIENT to deal with my situation."  Think on what this really means.

Did Jesus die for your sins, your pain, your sicknesses or not? If not, you can X out of this page and go on in defeat. If YES, then you can appropriate the HEALING BLOOD OF JESUS!!

      Isaiah 53:5 says:
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed."

If this is true, you need to proclaim this verse. If you have to, print it in big letters and post it in a conspicuous place.

Allow the Healing power of Our Savior to work in your life. Forgive yourself. He ALREADY DID!!  You will find that this will bring INCREDIBLE freedom. Look at this incredible verse:

      John 8:36
"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
You can post this up on your wall too. Loudly proclaim it to your situation. God does not lie.

Be free and walk in His grace today!!

  • God Is A Patient God

God is patient with His children.  I saw this scripture:

    Romans 15:5
"Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,"

Wow.  I can attest to that. For all my backsliding, if He wasn't, I'd be nothing but a burned grease spot on the ground by now, hit by a heavenly lightning bolt, I'm sure.

I know that I am made in the image of God, that I have His characteristics in me. One of them is patience.  There are many times when I wanted to be upset but instead I was patient with my daughter. He is also teaching me to be patient. Often His promises to us do not take place right away. Often we have to wait upon them.

Abraham is such an example. He was told he would have a son, yet he had to wait for many years. Yet his faith never wavered.  I KNOW that God is teaching us to have that type of faith.

    Psalm 37:7
"Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him"

God has laid this on my heart because my back isn't getting better quick enough for me. I keep having to turn my LACK OF FAITH over to Him.  Do you have something that isn't happening quick enough for you?? Here's another good one:

    James 5:7
[ Be Patient and Persevering ] Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

I know what happens if I pray for patience. I often joke about the following statement. "I get stuck behind 2 price checks at WalMart and behind slow trucks going up hills." Nonetheless, it's a true principle.  We learn patience by being put into inpatient situations.

    Be blessed today!

  • We're Gonna Dance as Little Children!

Today at church while the Spirit of God was moving, He showed me two things.
He showed me Peter and the disciples in the boat, terrified that they were going to drown when suddenly Peter sees Jesus walking on the water! We all know this famous passage:
    Matthew 14:28
And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

And Peter did the impossible! He was the first man to walk on water and had no trouble as long as he kept his eyes on His Lord!

    Matt 14:30-32
"But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased."

The Lord IS calling us forward today to grow in our walk.

The second thing He let me see  was a bunch of giggling little children holding hands, dancing on that same stormy sea that Peter was called to walk on! Imagine how it will be like to move in the supernatural like this. It's possible when we totally keep our eyes on Jesus and not on the circumstances around us.

    Consider this verse.

    Matthew 18:3
and (He) said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven."

The Lord showed me that WHEN (not if) we are asked to step out into "the water", that we are to have childlike faith and because of this faith, we will be dancing in the Spirit with joy when asked to do ANYTHING He asks us!

Simple childlike faith may seem impossible to some, but I can glimpse it. At times I have walked in childlike faith.  He wants to grow us to the point that this will be our normal spiritual attitude.

I'm excited. I'm looking forward to dancing on the water! How about you?

    Be blessed today!
